LM Sistemas and Voice Partners are taking personalization an innovative step further with Brazilian telecommunication?s giant, CTBC.
"Since the application will be capable of knowing the caller?s plan, calling profile, or even whether they?re calling from a public phone, the design called for a distinctively personal-sounding dialog style: a prompting style that was iconoclastically informal, sociolinguistically more intimate and accommodating, from the perspective of the typical Portuguese-speaker," said James Giangola, industrial linguist and lead designer for Voice Partners on this project.
Additionally, CTBC's personalization mission will involve Voice Partners' creation of two persona experiences, one for novice users, which all clients will start out with, then the introduction of a system for power users. To the novice user, the persona will employ a more helpful, more expository style, guiding the user through a simplified experience. To the power user, this same persona will appear to have noticed and adapted to the individual's calling patterns, and will use a more abbreviated interaction style.
"This is a very important partnership for CTBC to implement services focused on the improvement of its client services. This project will offer significant increase in performance using voice recognition, because its platforms are more intelligent, making it easier for users to respond and complete tasks," says Angela Maria, Senior Business Analyst for CTBC.
The new system is set for implementation in October 2005.
