In a gala Saturday afternoon fete by The Provenza Group, the premier estate planning firm in Maryland, the firm inaugurated their new offices in Owings Mills. Music filled the air with the soothing tones of the harp played by Caroline Gregg and the versatile quartet of flutes, Femme Flutale. The always entertaining magician and mentalist Dick Steiner entertained by walking around and delighting clients and associates with his leger de main. Food and drink were fine and plentiful. It was an event worthy of the 100 Painters Mill building, located at100 Painters Mill Road, Owings Mills.
Ted Provenza commissioned a reproduction in oil for this auspicious occasion. The Declaration of Independence 1776, painted in 1818 by John Trumball, depicts 48 signers, but about 15 others are missing. A contest to identify the number and names of the missing, which included Thomas Stone of Maryland, piqued the interest of several partygoers. Mrs. Sue Kulikowski named the right number and the most names.
